Package Services

International Students Support Center of New York (ISSC NY, Inc) offers Package Services to Summer Work and Travel Program Participants!

The registration is open to all program participants interested in becoming a lifeguard and working in the United States of America!

Two (2) packages are available:

Package One (1)

The cost of the package is $665 USD

*** This package is best option for the first-time participants.

Package Two (2)

The cost of the package is $315 USD

*** This package is best option for the second/third time participants that already hold valid U.S. Lifeguard License/Certificate

Requirements: Must have at least 20/30 vision in one eye and 20/40 in the other without corrective lenses, and must be able to swim 50 yards (45 meters) in 35 seconds with proper form to qualify for training.  After training, must be able to swim 440 yards (402 meters) in 6 minutes and 40 seconds with proper form to pass final exam and be hired as a lifeguard.

Important info: If you plan to apply for summer work and travel program with an agency located in your country (or you already registered for self-placement program option) you may contact us and request a special job offer form from ISSC NY, Inc. You may submit this form to your agency/sponsor and obtain a DS2019 form to apply for J-1 visa with the U.S. Embassy in your country.

The total package fee must be received before any placement confirmation letters can be issued by ISSC NY, Inc. If your visa application is denied - the amount you have paid will be refunded in full.

Payments are accepted by wire transfers (please, add $35 transfer fee) or contact your sending agency to arrange group payments.

Registration: All interested candidated are required to complete this form and send it to jobs[at]isscny[dot]org, a copy of international passport must be included in the email; individuals already holding lifeguard certificate must also include a copy of their certificates. Once the registration paperwork is received, an invoice for payment will be sent. Once full payment is received - the placement confirmation letter will be sent out.

Deadline: The last day of accepting applications and full payments is Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
